Raffle #07312024 - OFFICIAL RULES (Revised July 11, 2024)
Definitions.
The following definitions shall be used in these Rules for Raffle #07312024:
Findlay Subaru Prescott shall herein be referred to as “FSP”.
Prescott Valley American Legion Post #140 shall herein be referred to as “ALP”.
The terms ‘raffle participant/ticket buyer/ticket holder’ shall herein be referred to as “Participant”.
The term ‘raffle Winner’ shall herein be referred to as “Winner”.
Promotion Specifics: Entry Deadline: 11:59 P.M., local AZ time, 11/15/2024. Upon timely raffle ticket purchase, a ticket number will be assigned to the ticket you purchase. If you purchase multiple tickets, then each ticket will receive a unique identification number. Tickets purchased for this Raffle after the deadline will be deemed invalid. The Raffle entry deadline date may be extended at the discretion of ALP. Any extension of said deadline date shall appear on the contest entry website appearing below.
Ticket Numbers. Ticket numbers are assigned to each ticket purchased. However, due to a software limitation at the payment processor's site (Zeffy.com), your receipt does not show your assigned ticket number. Rather, your unique ticket number(s) does appear in the database used to track all tickets purchased. All of your corresponding personal entry information is then assigned to each ticket you purchase, tying you to your specific ticket(s). The winning number will be selected via a random drawing from the ticket number database. The associated winner will then be contacted for delivery of the Grand Prize as outlined in these Terms & Conditions.
The Grand Prize will be delivered to the holder of the winning ticket number, as identified above, at the time of award. Delivery of the Grand Prize will occur at the following location:

The Winner must present an AZ government issued identification (i.e. AZ driver's license) at the above address to receive the Grand prize.
Payment Processing: ALP is using https://www.zeffy.com for payment processing services.
Delivery of the Grand Prize. Delivery/transportation of the Grand Price to the Winner’s address is the responsibility of the Winner. FSP may provide information on delivery methods upon request; however, the coordination and cost of delivery/transportation of the Grand prize is the sole responsibility of the Winner.
Receipt of the Grand Prize. Once notified, Winner must attend the award Grand Prize ceremony to receive the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize award date may be adjusted to accommodate travel arrangements and scheduling conflicts. If distance prevents attending the scheduled awards ceremony, the Winner must contact FSP or ALP within one week following award notification to arrange receipt of the Grand Prize.
Taxes & Fees. All City, State, and Federal Taxes, Regulatory, and Statutory Obligations owed, resulting from the Winner’s receipt of the Grand Prize, are the sole responsibility and legal liability of the Winner. FSB and ALP organizations, their employees, suppliers, volunteers, and members shall have no liability with respect to any mandated taxes and fees. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
For information only: An estimate of related taxes & fees is $4500.
Eligibility. Ticket sales for Raffle #07312024 are limited to legal residents who are physically located and residing in the State of Arizona. The minimum age for participating in this raffle is 18 years old at the time of ticket purchase. Principals and employees, affiliates and subsidiaries, veteran members and volunteers, contest processors, and the immediate families of ALP, as well as the Board of Judges, are not eligible. Raffle 07312024 is void where prohibited.

Minimum Raffle Amount. There is a minimum number of tickets that must be sold to validate Raffle 07312024. If the minimum number of tickets are not sold by the deadline date listed herein, or before any deadline extension initiated by ALP, then Participants with valid ticket purchases will have the option of having their monies returned or making a tax deductible donation to ALP.
Notification. Winners will be notified by mail, email, telephone, or in person at ALP’s option. Winner’s contact information must be up-to-date and accurate for prize to be awarded. Participant holding the winning ticket will be considered the Winner. Award of the Grand Prize shall be subject to verification of identity and eligibility. Entry in this Raffle constitutes permission to use the Winner’s name and photograph in television commercials, in website promotions, and for other promotional purposes, unless prohibited by law.
ALP’s Board of Judges’ decisions are final.
By entering this Raffle, each Participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Board of Judges. FSP, ALP, and their agencies are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Raffle or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Raffle. FSP, ALP, and their agencies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. FSP, ALP, and their agencies are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer systems, servers or providers, computer equipment or software on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or combination thereof, including injury or damage to Participants or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Raffle. If, for any reason, the Raffle is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of FSP and ALP which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Raffle, FSP and ALP reserve the right to terminate the online portion of the Raffle. Participant’s entry information becomes the property of ALP and will not be returned.
ALP reserves the right through decision by the Board of Judges to disqualify any entry determined to be the result of tampering with the ALP’s Online system or in violation of the letter and spirit of the official rules. Any use of programmed, automatic, or scripted entry methods will void all associated entries and individuals using such methods may be disqualified.
Proceeds. All proceeds, net of raffle expenses, shall accrue to ALP to support its veteran and community action programs.

In order to participate you must make a donation of an unwrapped toy of approximately $5-10 value and a $10 cash donation. The toy donations will go to the Yavapai County Food Bank. The cash donation will go towards Post 140's ALLECA scholarship fund. For the donation you will receive one 5 card poker hand. Top three hands will receive prizes, with the top hand being the Annual Springer Run winner and having their name go on the Springer trophy for all time. Additionally extra cards can be added to your poker hand increasing your odds of winning by making an additional $5 donation per card added. This is a great opportunity to honor the memory of our Post's past heroes and to help children. The Annual Springer Poker Run will convert next year to a normal motorcycle/car run open to the public. This year’s run is for Post members and their families only. Every year the Run's winner will have their name added to the trophy. The runs poker hands will be dealt at the Post Holiday party (need not be present to win). Donations will be accepted at the general membership meeting, coffee at Rafter Eleven and at the Holiday party. ****NOTICE**** If for any reason you cannot get a toy to us for donation (i.e.: you are a member out of town). You can participate by making a $5-10 cash for toy donation in lieu of the toy with the $10 ALLECA donation ($15-20 total). You may also still purchase the additional cards at $5 each. Post 140 invites everyone to join at this event. AZ Department Commander Michael Simon, AZ Detachment Commander Noah B. McMullen, AZ Department President Barbara Wilson White and SAL Area C Vice-Commander Mike Bryant will be attending along with other VIP's from local government and other organizations.
Come have coffee and scones with fellow veterans and friends. Leadership from our Post will be there to help with any questions you might have whether they are about the Legion, membership, and even VA Disability Claims. Come out and see what's happening. Consider yourself invited.

Prescott Valley American Legion Post 140 is sponsoring a free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 16th at American Legion Park, located at 3239 N Bob Drive in Prescott Valley. The Egg Hunt starts at 9 am. The egg hunt is for children 8 years old and younger and participants are asked to bring their own Easter baskets for egg collection. Prizes also will be given for “Golden Eggs”. Also, there will be a $5.00 (donation) a plate barbecue and a (donation) bake sale. Donations will go towards helping Post 140 further programs benefiting veterans and our community. Services for Prescott Valley American Legion Auxiliary Unit 140 Vice-President Elizabeth House will be held Saturday November 13th at 10:00 A.M. @ New Life Ministries International, 7605 E Long Look Dr, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314. Please remember the family has requested masks be worn by members of the Post 140 family due to a member having tested positive for COVID.
A post member has come down ill with COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution Post 140’s leadership has decided to not participate in the November 11th Veterans Day Parade. We understand this will come as a disappointment at this time. We have taken into account ALL Post 140 family members in making this decision.
National Convention The American Legion’s 102nd National Convention will take place in Phoenix, Arizona, August 27 – September 2, 2021.
