The service area of our organization is focused on Prescott Valley, and it's surrounding communities in Arizona, however we do provide benefits to any eligible Arizona resident, U.S. veteran or U.S. military personnel. We also as able, provide help in areas of natural disaster relief around the United States.


Jerome S. Cranke American Legion Post 140 became a Chartered American Legion Post and a licensed charitable organization, Incorporated to operate in the State of Arizona in 2013. We are a family orientated Post. We have members of all age ranges. Founded in 1932, Sons of The American Legion exists to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires.
S.A.L. members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership. The Sons is open to all male descendants adopted sons, and stepsons and such male descendants of those who served on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States during eligibility periods and either died in the line of duty or received honorable discharge.

American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded servicemembers and scholarships. Since 2006, Riders nationwide have participated in The American Legion Legacy Run to annually raise money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund, established to provide scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001.

The cash donation will go towards Post 140's ALLECA scholarship fund. For the donation you will receive one 5 card poker hand. Top three hands will receive prizes, with the top hand being the Annual Springer Run winner and having their name go on the Springer trophy for all time. Additionally extra cards can be added to your poker hand increasing your odds of winning by making an additional $5 donation per card added. This is a great opportunity to honor the memory of our Post's past heroes and to help children. The Annual Springer Poker Run will convert next year to a normal motorcycle/car run open to the public. This year’s run is for Post members and their families only. Every year the Run's winner will have their name added to the trophy. The runs poker hands will be dealt at the Post Holiday party (need not be present to win). Donations will be accepted at the general membership meeting, coffee at Rafter Eleven and at the Holiday party. ****NOTICE**** If for any reason you cannot get a toy to us for donation (i.e.: you are a member out of town). Prescott Valley American Legion Post 140 is sponsoring a free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 16th at American Legion Park, located at 3239 N Bob Drive in Prescott Valley. The Egg Hunt starts at 9 am. The egg hunt is for children 8 years old and younger and participants are asked to bring their own Easter baskets for egg collection. Prizes also will be given for “Golden Eggs”. Also, there will be a $5.00 (donation) a plate barbecue and a (donation) bake sale. Donations will go towards helping Post 140 further programs benefiting veterans and our community. ***NOTICE, CONTEST IS FOR TROUT BY LENGTH.*** Prescott Valley American Legion Post 140 is holding its 1st annual charitable fund-raising trout fishing tournament at Fain Park in Prescott Valley on July 3rd between 8AM-4PM. Three contests will run. 1 for ages 15+ and 1 for children 8 to 14 and 1 for 7 and under. Entry is by donation $6.50 per 15+, $4.50 per 8 to 14 and $3.00 for 7 and under. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 LONGEST fish in each contest. 1st Place in 15+ wins a Pelican Kayak Boost 100. Prize value $200.00. 1st Place in 8 to 14 wins a Shimano Fishing Rod & Reel Sienna Spinning Combo, a Eagle Claw Flambeau Go Fish Value Tackle Kit and a Cortland Teardrop Wooden Mesh Net. Prize value $87.00. 1st Place in 7 and under wins a Profishiency TrueTimber Dock Spincast Combo and a South Bend Worm Gear 88-Piece Loaded Fishing Tackle Box. Prize value $35.00. Registration will be at Ramada R-M-2 at the park. All proceeds benefit Post 140 and their charitable causes. All State, Town, Park and Game and fish rules/regulations will apply. Post 140 is working to provide food boxes to Veterans in need.
